Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and SkoolPillar ("we", "us", or "our"), a school management platform based in Billawar, Jammu & Kashmir, India.

These Terms apply to all users of the SkoolPillar mobile application, including students, parents, teachers, and school administrators. If you are under 18 years of age, your parent or guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

SkoolPillar is a school management platform that enables students, parents, teachers, and administrators to access school-related information and services via the mobile application and web admin panel.

The features and information available to each user are determined entirely by the school institution. SkoolPillar does not guarantee that any specific feature will be available at all times — availability depends on the configuration chosen by your school and the data entered by school staff.

SkoolPillar acts as a technology platform only. All academic data, records, and communications displayed within the app are provided by and remain the responsibility of your school institution.

Account provisioning: Student and staff accounts are created exclusively by school administrators. Users cannot self-register on SkoolPillar. Your login credentials are provided by your school.

Account security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Do not share your username or password with anyone. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact your school administrator immediately and email us at skoolpillar@gmail.com.

Accuracy: Profile information displayed in the app is maintained by your school. If any information is incorrect, contact your school administrator — SkoolPillar does not modify school-managed records.

Multi-profile: The app supports multiple profiles on a single device (e.g. siblings at the same school). Each profile is treated as a separate account under these Terms.

You agree to use SkoolPillar only for its intended educational and school management purposes. The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• ✕ Attempting to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or the school's server
• ✕ Sharing your login credentials with any other person
• ✕ Using the app to harass, bully, or harm any student, teacher, or school staff member
• ✕ Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app
• ✕ Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the app
• ✕ Submitting false or misleading requests or misusing the platform in any way
• ✕ Attempting to intercept or modify data transmitted between the app and the school server
• ✕ Using the app in any way that violates applicable Indian law

Violation of this policy may result in immediate account suspension and, where appropriate, referral to school authorities or law enforcement.

Schools that deploy SkoolPillar agree to:

• Ensure student and parent data entered into the system is accurate and obtained with appropriate consent
• Manage student accounts responsibly and remove access when students leave the school
• Use the admin panel only for legitimate school management purposes
• Not attempt to use SkoolPillar to collect data beyond what is necessary for school management
• Inform students and parents that their data is processed via SkoolPillar and direct them to this Privacy Policy
• Maintain the security of administrator credentials

SkoolPillar is not responsible for how schools use the data entered into the platform beyond our Privacy Policy obligations.

The SkoolPillar application, including all software code, designs, graphics, user interface elements, branding, and content created by SkoolPillar, is the exclusive intellectual property of SkoolPillar and is protected under Indian copyright law and applicable international treaties.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the SkoolPillar app solely for its intended school management purposes as described in these Terms. This licence does not include the right to:

• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the app or its content
• Create derivative works based on the app
• Use SkoolPillar's name, logo, or branding without written permission
• Sublicence or sell access to the app

Student data and school-generated content remain the property of the respective school institution.

While we strive to provide a reliable and accurate service, we do not warrant that:

• The app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure at all times
• School data displayed in the app is always up to date — this depends on timely updates by school staff
• Push notifications will be delivered at all times (delivery depends on device settings, internet connectivity, and third-party services)
• The app will be compatible with all future versions of Android

SkoolPillar is a tool to facilitate school communication — it does not replace official school communications. For any critical matters, always confirm directly with your school.

SkoolPillar's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of SkoolPillar shall not exceed the amount you have paid to SkoolPillar (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim. Since the app is free of charge to students, our liability to students is nil.

We are not liable for:

• Loss or inaccuracy of academic records caused by school staff errors
• Data loss caused by the school's server infrastructure
• Device damage, data loss, or security breaches caused by third-party malware
• Consequences of a student losing or sharing their login credentials
• Service interruptions caused by internet connectivity, device issues, or force majeure

Access to SkoolPillar may be terminated in the following circumstances:

• By the school: The school administrator may deactivate your account at any time — for example, when a student leaves the school or graduates.
• By SkoolPillar: We may suspend or terminate access if we determine that a user has violated these Terms or is using the app in a harmful manner.
• By the user: You may request account deletion at any time as described in our Account Deletion Policy at /account-deletion.

Upon termination, your right to use the app immediately ceases. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limitations) shall continue to apply.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the use of SkoolPillar shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jammu & Kashmir, India.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and SkoolPillar regarding the use of SkoolPillar, superseding any prior agreements.
